After a 7 hours stop in Corpus Christie, TX., we finally took off towards Houston, whose airport was shutdown, due to stormy weather (frequently during summer time). The original 1:45 hrs flight from Mexico City turned out to be an 8:45 hours. My only complaint was why passengers are not allowed to deplane? I took the picture on June 7, 2006 @ 3:40 PM.
B-52 Stratofortress. This airplane has such great personality, and so many engines too (eight), that truly deserves to be photographed from any angle, such as this one. I took this picture at the Wings over Houston air show on October 25, 2008 @ 10:50 AM.
Spectacular colors showering Eiffel tower in Paris, France. The reason for the blue, and gold colors is that France had been chosen as the leader of the European Economic Community back in July, 2008, and the flag colors were displayed in the famous French icon. I took this picture on July 12, 2008 @ 9:03 PM.
I wasn't hired as a sports anchor news man, it just happened that the street I was going through was closed, so I decided to photograph the colorful bike race taking place in Anaco, Venezuela on March 9, 2008 @ 11:28 AM.
Cantaura, Venezuela's rustic street with old fashioned adobe-made houses. I visited this town on March 15, 2008 @ 13:54 hrs.
My 1st visit to Calexico, California took place last year on August 27, 2008. I had meetings scheduled in Cerro Prieto, Baja California, so I had to cross the border to a town named Mexicali, Mexico. In the middle of the desert, the heat was high, but the ground was dry, and the air was full of sounds. Just like the song "Horse with no name." Time: 14:26 hrs.
This is cacao, and also the 1st time I see it. Surprisingly, it is a fruit, very tasty and sweet. I wonder who discovered that chocolate can be made from this produce. I was having lunch in a scenic restaurant located in Los Altos de Santa Fe in the Eastern area of Venezuela, on March 29, 2008 @ 3:59 PM.
Hercules C-130 about to land in Maiquetia, Venezuela at dusk. I took the picture on April 4, 2008 @ 6:18 PM after a 6 hours drive from Anaco, Venezuela to catch a Continental flight to Houston, TX the next morning.
I love these kind of buses, and I've seen some beautiful ones lately; however, I am puzzled why are there just a few manufacturers, being the market so large? The ones I know: Scania, Volvo, Marco Polo, and Mercedes Benz. I used to ride on Mexican-made Sultanas, and Dinas, when I was in college. I think that the USA can use some of these beauties to replace the aging and ugly units of Greyhound. I took this picture in Paris, France on July 14, 2008 @ 13:14 hrs.

This picture sent me back to Walt Disney's Snow White. Don't these mahogany trees look really creepy at sunset? I spotted them in the jungle surrounding Comalcalco, state of Tabasco Mexico. I took the picture on my way back to Villahermosa, after long afternoon meetings with Pemex on March 4, 09 @ 6:12 PM.

Continental Airlines' Boeing 737-800 shadow, arriving in Houston, after a 1.45 hrs. flight from Mexico City, on January 21, 2009 @ 11:31 AM.
City Hall in Calais, France on a cloudy and windy day on July 8, 2008 @ 12:34 PM (US central time). I was on my way to London via the ferry over the English Chanel the very next day towards Dover.
It's just simply irresistible to drive by the little town of Atasta, state of Campeche, and not to stop to enjoy the colorful bougambilias. I was on my way to Ciudad del Carmen on November 13, 2008 @ 12:02 PM.
Oil tanker in the area of Catia la Mar / La Guaira in Venezuela. The color of the sea is an amazing tone of aquamarine blue, or maybe topaz, simply describable with a picture, which I took on April 6, 2008 @ 8:37 AM local time.
Area of Sao Conrado in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil This mountain looks to me like Batman. I took the picture from the Intercontinental Hotel on January 31, 2009 @ 6:40 AM local time.
B-17 showing off in the Wings over Houston 2008 air show. Taken on October 25, 2008 @ 12:45 PM
Threatening outer clouds of Hurricane Humberto that missed Galveston, Texas for a few dozen miles. I took this picture on August 31, 2008 @ 6:22 PM while I wanted to witness its arrival. I was lucky I missed it.
Abundant, yet pretty flower the "cayena" or "hibiscus" in all countries I visit in Latin America. This particular one in Macae, Brazil. I took this picture on September 10, 2008 @ 12:29 PM
Sunset in Aragua de Barcelona, Venezuela. Picture I enjoyed taking on March 15, 2008 @ 5:47 PM local time from the central plaza. It's dark with the help of the sunset and the thousands of cables of the electrical grid.
Night view of Catia la Mar, Venezuela, from the Playa Caribe hotel, with the freeway to Caracas illuminated in the background mountain. I took this one on April 5, 2008 @ 7:50 PM (local time).
Funny squirrel posing for me in my backyard, looking for food, which I put for free in my backyard, only for birds, but the squirrels "cherry pick," and love the sunflower seeds. I took this one on June 13, 2008 @ 2:45 PM
Had I taken this picture before September 11, 2008, the sky would've not been visible with so many trees, it was almost dark during day time. Hurricane Ike made a big mess at the Arboretum in Houston, TX. Took this sad picture on February 7, 2009 @ 2:29 PM.

Araguaney Venezolano

Once a year when spring time starts, Venezuela gets covered in a yellow color, due to the blooming of the national tree: the Araguaney, this lasts only a few days. I took the picture on March 19, 2008 @ 8:39 AM on my way to the airport, came back from Houston 5 days later, and the flowers - and thus the color - had dissapeared.
Probably a tax-free job doing an alien impression out Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris, France. She posed for me on July 14, 2008 @ 12:28 PM.

2007 "Copa America" or America Soccer Cup was celebrated by Hugo Chavez as a very important national event hosted in Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela, as you can see in this picture I took on June 15, 2008 @ 1:38 PM in Maracaibo though, there was soccer fever in the country.
This is the world famous Angel of Independence monument in Mexico City. I was on vacation, and took the picture on December 26, 2007 @ 2:22 PM.
Architecture in Paris is beautiful. This building is across the corner from the Luxembourg Garden. I took this picture on July 15, 2008 @ 3:54 PM.
